ANS SAFETY

In order to ensure safe and effective operations, continuous improvement and procedures are among the ongoing safety issues for Air Traffic Control (ATC). These procedures make sure that safety is always put first in ATC operations.

It is compulsory for Air Traffic Control (ATC) examiners to attend initial and recurrent training before their appointment. This ensures they are fully qualified and up-to-date with the latest procedures and regulations

At the end of this training, participants will be able to; be nominated as an OJTI; apply roles as the OJTI; prepare the training objectives for trainee; prepare the training assessment and training progress report; conduct pre-check assessment for trainee, apply instructor recommended attributes; and present a practical lesson (BMD) employing instructional techniques and strategies appropriate to the topic, participants and instructional environment.

This training scheduled at established intervals that has been identified as required training in order to maintain competency level in a specified job scope. To ensure that personnel maintain proficiency and keep current on latest regulations, techniques, procedures and developments in their respective areas of expertise and aimed to improve personnel expertise and provide knowledge/exposures on current standards.
